Hunkydory selection of dl cards with bits of cards left over.

Hello blogging peeps,

Am still getting snowed under with chopped up bits of card which is too lovely to waste.  Usually it ends up in a big box and goes to my aunt's house for her childminded children to play with.  But I am trying to cut down on the waste and came up with these four dl cards.

No real explanations for them other than they are dl card blanks and mirri card with the odd topper put on for interest when the piece of card was patterned.  I have used a lot of spellbinders die cuts  which is also using up bits and pieces (yay!).

This has made me unbelievably happy to think that this cards are made from what would really what would have ended up in a bin at some point.

So although this is a really long post for me with more cards than usual I was really pleased with them and am vowing to keep doing this as I go along as well as use up some more at odd times too.

Hunkydory Fan-tash-tique card

Hello crafting peeps,

Apologies for the poor photography on this one but the light has gone and this card is off to its new home tomorrow to be sold for charity and I really wanted to put it on the blog as I was quite pleased with it.

This is from yet another kit from Hunkydory, I truly am surrounded by piles and piles of beautiful card and paper I really feel one day they will dig me out from under them lol!!!  Anyway I am really making efforts to use them all and am getting there slowly only trouble is I use up 10 sheets then buy another 48 sheet kit!   Still they are all beautiful and pretty much timeless so I will get round to them, eventually!

Anyway this card is another 8 x 8 I made a gold mirri base mat to start then cut a piece of cream pearl card to mat on the gold. I embossed the cream card with one of the new crafters companion A4 embossing folders called picnic plaid which I love.   I cut a piece off the bottom and then cut the same sized piece from the gold foiled moustache background.  I covered the join with some brown ribbon and as this is a masculine card absolutely no bows were used lol.

To finish I glued the mats to the base card and then used one of the toppers glued raised in the centre of the embossed card and also one of the die cut moustaches underneath (glued raised) and two pieces of brown pearlescent card candy in the corner.

This card is going to be sold in aid of diabetes uk, so I hope it will do well.

Hunkydory Feathers and Fluff card

Hello crafting peeps

A super quick post from me today.  I came across this lovely free feathers and fluff Hunkydory kit with one of the Hunkydory magazines and have been playing with it since.

This is a very simple 8 x 8 with a large gold mirri base and one the coordinating cards cut to size.  A small thin gold border with two pieces of red ribbon wrapped around glued raised at the bottom.

The beautiful topper in the centre with a small bow at the top and some card candy to finish.

A very quick but lovely card.

Hunkydory fall for autumn squirrel card

I chose this topper set for this blog post as I have not long got in from walking the dogs.  Pippin (my scottie cross) really hates fireworks so am really trying to tire him out  today.  Last night there must have been a display somewhere near and it sounded like world war three had broken out just a mish mash of bangs and he was shaking like a leaf bless him.  Anyway today while we were out he got super excited and went into stalk mode when we passed some trees.  The trees were creaking and cracking and he dragged me along as he obviously had his eye on something I couldn't see.  Eventually a tiny grey squirrel ran along a branch and started nibbling the seeds on the tree.  I know they are not native but they are still pretty cute.

So this card was made with an 8 x 8 scalloped edge card blank.  I cut a gold mirror base and then I cut a mat slightly smaller out of a cream Hunkydory forest walk card (very lovely wood effect embossed into it... just yummy) and glued them together using collall gel.

I cut the edge off the topper sheet and matted it onto a piece of brown card embossed with dots from the Hunkydory forest walk collection and then matted again onto gold mirror card before cutting to size and gluing it slightly raised on the edge of the base.  I matted and layered the topper in the same way onto the brown card then onto mirror card and glued slightly off centre and raised onto the top of my base.  I glued one of the sentiments from the topper sheet raised to add dimension.

To finish I glued to the base white card and added an insert.  I left it without any gems or dots as to be honest it didn't really need them the gold mirror card just lifts it enough to make it look special.

Hunkydory fall into autumn kit

Hello peeps, yes I am finally back in blogland apologies for active followers for the delay but here is just a super quick card using the Hunkydory fall into autumn kit I have used one of the toppers with a sentiment circle and another leaf foiled decorated circle.  The foiled backing card to match the design some black card and a spellbinders Dlite branch die.  I also used a crafters companion embossing folder with leaves on.

I cut a piece of black card to to fit just inside the 8 x 8 card base.  I cut the backing card to fit inside the black layer.  I had to slice the foiled leaf border off as it would have been too far down the card for my liking. I embossed the main body with the leaves pattern and then glued this to the top of the black card, the red piece was glued to the bottom of the card and the foiled border was assembled back on top with collall glue gel so it is slightly raised.  

I added the topper to the top centre and then die cut the branch out of the same black cardstock as the back layer.  I then slipped it just under the foiled border and glued the foiled leaf circle behind before gluing the rest of the branch down.  To finish I added a sentiment circle some small pearls and an insert.  A very quick card.

Hunkydory topper sympathy card

Today a super quick 8 x 8 with a Hunkydory topper from a recent kit.  

To make this card I cut a layer of black card to fit the base card blank and then cut a smaller silver mirri layer to sit upon it used a corner rounder punch on both and glued these two layers together.  I cut a piece of white pearl card to size and ran the top half through my calibur with the tied together embossing folder.

I then cut  a piece of silver mirri and used the grateful lattice die on it ( I did need to extend it a little as I wanted the rounded part of the lattice upwards) and glued it to the bottom of the pearl card.   I cut a small border of pearl card which you probably cannot see too well as I placed the ribbon on top of it.  This ribbon is quite see through and I didn't like the pointy ends of the lattice showing through.

I rounded the ends of the pearl card and then glued it to the black and silver base layers I had prepared before.  Using glue gel I arranged my topper in position and then made a small bow from the same ribbon.  I bought these little pearly gem things from Wild Orchid and love hiding the knots on bows with them you can also colour them with your alcohol markers which is great.  To finish I glued to the base card blank before dotting the creative expressions glue in the centre of the embossed knots and added some small pearls to tie it all together.

I do like this card but think the smaller lattice die from spellbinders would have a better result so will have to try it at some point.

Joanna Sheen Dog Stamp Birthday card

Just a quick 8 x 8 from me today.  I found some old stamps in a drawer from way back when I started crafting of some dogs from Joanna Sheen and stamped a few out in memento Expresso truffle onto some centura pearl card.  This gorgeous little one is the one I decided to use as it looks exactly like my Pippin (He's a jack russel/scottie) sat amongst the bubble envelopes that he loves to pop the bubble wrap in... bless him.

I cut the image out from a labels 22 and then blended antique linen distress ink around whilst it was still in the die. I also cut a gold mirri die from decorative labels 8, a brown labels 20 and a from a piece of coredinations card with the heartfelt layered elegant swirl on two sides with a small piece attached and uncut inbetween.  I also cut a gold mirri tag from the ribbon tag trio spellbinder set.

I cut a large piece of gold mirri to fit my card leaving a small border and then rounded the corners.  I then cut a smaller piece of centura pearl which I embossed using the new grand mbossibilities folder graduated dots.  I then coloured it to match using the antique linen again and after leaving it to dry for a minute or two rounded the corners to match the gold.  I accidently picked up the wrong rounder which cut some way into the card but It looked quite nice when I put it against the gold so I attached the brown ribbon at the bottom of my card and threaded a small dog charm which I coloured brown with a spectrum pen and also the tag I had cut before securing it at the back.

I then layered my swirls, then the label 20, decorative label 8 and then my topper before adding to the card putting some height in using collall glue gel.  I then centrally glued it onto the base, added the base to the mirri and the whole thing to the card blank.  For the greeting I stamped a whimsy sentiment and die cut it and added it to the tag on the ribbon.  I did add some card candi to create interest in the corners too.

Hunkydory music themed birthday card

Hi all back again after a super long blogging break due mostly to lack of time and also have been experimenting with other crafts.  Knitting and enamelling being the two I have most enjoyed lately.

Anyway to break back in gently a quick 8 x 8 from the hunkydory Antique flourish kit.  I took some brown card and matted the printed paper from the kit onto it and glued to the base of my card. I had an offcut from the foiled card and matted this onto the same brown card.  I cut a shaped mat for the musical topper and then glued them to the card with collall glue.

I took some ticket sentiments from the same kit and glued them under my topper.  I had cut three bars of music from a memory box die and trimmed at different places before pushing under my topper into the collall glue and then using a little cosmic shimmer clear glue to secure it on the edges.

To finish I added some large and small gems coloured with my spectrum pens to match.

A super quick card and post.

Spellbinders Get Well Soon Card

A quick-ish card from me today made for a friend at work.

I used an 8 x 8 card blank and cut a mirri base mat and then a smaller mat from pearl cardstock.

I used an A4 Mbossibilities folder to emboss the beautiful background design.

From the DCWV luxury stack I cut a base layer with a spellbinders label die.  I then used the same die and the next size down to cut a frame which I colourised with spun sugar distress ink.

I took some pink card already embossed with dots and cut the marianne butterfly and the small scalloped circle spellbinders die.

I then used a die from a spellbinders persian accents die twice from white pearl and again colourised with the spun sugar distress ink.

To assemble I inked the edges of the embossed white pearl base with the spun sugar then glued it to the gold base.  I arranged the cut from the luxury DCWV where I wanted it on my card and then glued the little frame with glue gel so it was raised.  I then glued the pink scalloped circle in the middle again with glue gel and then offset the two persian accent cuts.  I had to use peel offs for the sentiment as I could not find a get well soon stamp to use (might have to look for a nice one) and stuck them down centrally.

I added the butterfly in the corner and then added an offcut from a gem swirl which had some pinkish pearls in.  I decided I didn't like the body of the butterfly so added some large clear gems to cover it.  To finish I added a gem in each corner, glued it all to my base card and added an insert.

I really liked this card, there are quite a few stunning spellbinder cards being made now having been inspired by Sue Wilson, and I have to admit I haven't made many of this type before so definitely need to play around more with this style.

'Fifty shades' style card/gift

Hello Bloggin Peeps

Back again with a new card/gift offering with a sort of fifty shades of grey theme.  The lovely little digi stamp came from saturated canary http://saturated-canary.myshopify.com/products/grey-tie and I saw it on a card someone else had made and had to have it.

The original card I saw had the little handcuffs as an embellishment and when I was searching online for them I found that a few people were making bracelets with the fifty shades theme which I liked and wanted to combine.

The card:

I took an 8 x 8 square and cut a red holographic base layer and then a slightly smaller pearl white layer to sit on top.  Using the spellbinders A4 embossing folder (cannot tell you how excited I am we finally have A4 folders on the market)  embossed the garden lattice design as it looks a little 'tied up' and fit in with the theme.  I glued these together.

I cut a black rectangular mat to layer at the top of my card and then a pearl white layer and then a red holographic  one.  I glued some sheer red ribbon at three points to the back of the white then glued the black behind it and the red on top of it.  I took the bracelet I made and tied it to this rectangle and then glued the rectangle onto the white pearl I had prepared earlier making sure not to get any glue on the charms so the bracelet can be removed.

I used a marianne creatables die to cut the red lacy label and printed my digi out and coloured her in.... I am not the best colourer in the world but with the spectrum noirs the results are not too frightful.  I printed an extra digi and just cut the tie out and coloured it to add as a bit of decoupage.  I also used some whimsy ticket stamps and although I could have used the die to cut them out...this time I did it by hand.

To assemble the card I glued some black lace along the bottom which came from Joanna Sheen's online shop making sure to glue at the back so no glue was showing.  I glued the red lacy die cut on top and then arranged my coloured digi and the decoupage on top. To finish I added the little ticket sentiments and then glued to my base card


The bracelet:

The bracelet is a very simple chain made from silver jump rings.  Every second jumpring had a small red glass bead threaded on before closing.  I added a few extra smaller rings at the end as a sort of bracelet extender and a lobster clasp at the other end. 

I used eyepins to mount the charms I opened the end of the eye and threaded the charm on and then closed the eye back up.  I then threaded a clear swarovski bead on and made a loop.  Some of the charms were quite large and heavy and I didn't want too long a dangle.  When all the charms were on pins I laid the chain out flat and arranged the charms so the weight would be as even as possible and attached them using the loops I made.

This was quite a long card/gift to make and would only be suitable for someone quite special ... who liked the book... and wasn't afraid to wear bondage style charms in public.  It was fun to make but not sure if it would be something I would make regularly.

Magnolia Birthday Card

Just another quick card from me today A birthday card made for my sister from my nephew.   

A little bit different for me in a way as I had this lovely paper in a  My minds Eye lost and found pad and wanted to use it.

I took an 8 x 8 blank and cut a mirri base to work on.  I cut a layer from the newpaper print and distress inked the edges.  I then made a smaller gold mirri mat and cut a pink striped layer to fit.   I stamped the happy birthday at the bottom and distress inked the edges.

I glued the this layer to the base with glue gel so it was quite raised.  I used a spellbinders die and cut two shapes one from pearl white card and one from the same paper as the base.  The white pearl one was whipped back through the machine in an embossing folder and inked up in green  I also inked the edges of the top layer to match the base layers.  I glued these two shapes together and glued to my card.  I cut M-U-M with my cricut and arranged them on the centre (they honestly did look more straight in real life). 

Using scraps of the base paper I cut some flowers from a magnolia die and then the leaf from the magnolia rose die - out of plain card which I inked green.  I colourised the flowers red to match the card with the same distress ink.

I stamped the magnolia lady onto plain card and coloured her in.  I also stamped the middle section onto a black glitter paper (the glitter does not really show in the photo) and carefully cut the dress pieces out which were incredible hard to see as I had also stamped in black. Doh!

Anyway I glued her 'dress' into place and added some pearls and small gems for jewellery and added a ribbon across the bottom before gluing to my base card.

Ta dah!  finished card.

I really did like this card as It was quite different for me..... I like to play but sometimes without even thinking end up back in my comfort zone.... that being said there is still quite a lot of mirri on it and I don't know what I would do without it.!  ....maybe there is a challenge for me right there!

Paintbox Poppet Birthday Card

Hope you are all having a lovely tuesday here is another quick make from me using a lovely paintbox poppet die cut decoupage image.

I started with an 8 x 8 blank and cut a gold mirri base mat.  I cut some yellow gingham paper for the base half and a pretty patterned pink for the top to complement the colours in the image I had chosen.

I had some lovely pink lace (its made from a string and feels quite rough) and cut into it at a regular interval to thread the ribbon through.   I cut a lovely heart square from a cheery lynn die and placed it where I wanted it on the page and glued it into place in places I knew would be hidden I then threaded the pink lace with the ribbon in under and over the top covering the paper join and secured at the back of the gold mirri base.

I cut a pink mat and a gold mirri mat and layered them up and then added the base picture before assembling the decoupage.  I then glued this in to position.  I used some whimsy ticket sentiments, stamped and cut them using the ticket die and then used some distress ink to colourise them to fit in with the card.  I then glued the ends and arranged them under the topper. 

I created the flowers with spellbinders bitty blossoms and used a memory box leaf die for the greenery and glued to my card.  I then glued the decorated base to my card and added an insert.

I very pretty card in real life, this is one of my favourite images from the poppet collection the other is the little boy in trouble but I haven't yet made a card with him.

magnolia Stamp Keepsake Easel Card

Hello bloggin peeps, back again with a keepsake box this time made for a friend of my sisters on his christening day.

I am not going to go into too much detail on how I made the box but to say I used (as always) a hougie board, lots of glue and card.  It really doesn't matter too much what weight of card you use as long as when you decorate the outside it tends to add stability and I always line the inside with some gold card which also adds to its strength.

After making and assembling the box I cut a layer of gold mirri for each side and then a smaller layer of blue coredinations which I embossed with a spellbinders Mbossibility folder and sanded I chose the fleur de lis design as it was the most 'churchy' one I had.

I then cut and folded a card to fit the top of the chest so it would lie flat when not propped open without overlapping any edges of my box and before I glued it to the chest made it into an easel card.

I printed a design out using serif craft artist from one of their designs.  I specified the paper size on the options so the swirl at the side and border were perfect for my card.  I cut the blue dotted shape from a DCWV pad using the grand book pages die from spellbinders and glued into place.  I stamped the little magnolia prince and coloured to match my colour scheme and using glue gel stuck him onto the card.  I used the storybook cricut cartridge to cut the letters and layered them onto white card, blue card and then gold and glued into place.  I added a little card candy and a button with a blue rope bow for decoration.  The base of the easel card was a gold mirri layer, a layer of DCWV check paper, a spellbinder border in gold and some blue gem hearts for decoration.  I also added some cosmic shimmer pva 'pearls' on the base and when dried glued to the top of my box.

The drawer handles on this unit were really cool, I have been playing with jewellery making lately and thought it would be nice to make some drop handles.  I cut the fleur de lis from a spellbinder set and used them as the base for my handles.  I made a hole in the drawer front through the shape and the drawer and put an eyepin through making sure the eyepin was horizontal on the outside  (I had already threaded on two small blue beads)  and on the back of the drawer bent the pin down so it was tight and did not move on the front before securing  it to the back of the drawer.  I then took a headpin and a bead cap threaded on a blue bead, another bead cap and a few small clear beads.   I then made a loop at the top nice and tight so the beads didn't move and attached it to my eyepin.

I then glued gold mirri sections into all the drawers to strengthen them and hide the workings at the front.

Was really quite pleased with this one took a day and a half - mostly finding the bits and deciding what to do but it was a nice size for all those baby bits people tend to save.

Joanna Sheen/Thomas Kinkade cd Birthday Card

Hello there again bloggin peeps,

Been quite a while since my last blog, have still been card making just forgetting to blog about it. 

A lot of things going on at work, overtime and shift changes just take their toll on ability to sit still at the computer long enough to blog.

Anyway a pretty 8x8 square with a lovely image from the Thomas Kinkade cd from Joanna Sheen http://www.joannasheen.com/ made for a church friend of my sister.  I printed some backing paper from the cd too the lovely green stripes.

I matted the backing paper onto gold and then glued the orange ribbon onto the front so the ends would be hidden behind.  I then stuck this onto my card base. I matted the topper which I had printed from the same cd and matted that onto gold and glued to the top of the card.

I used a cheery lynn die cut and added some spellbinders die cut leaves into the middle of it.  I cut some spiral flowers from another spellbinder die from orange and red paper and assembled them onto the card glued it all into place and posted a little sentiment into the middle of them.

Not quite sure why I decided on orange, green and red I think it came from the picture with the green from the foliage and the orange from the lights in the church and red from the trees in the background.  

It all seemed to come together at the end anyway and her friend liked it so I was pleased lol.

Another quick CUP Birthday Card

Hello again bloggin peeps


Another super quick card for my nephew (for my mum to give to him)  and as he wants to be a chef (in the army) this is the design I chose to decoupage for him.


Another 8 x 8 card with a mirri base and a layer of coredinations cardstock embossed around the bottom with an Mbossibilities folder and a ribbon across the top where the embossing finishes.  I had already bought this chef themed decoupage sheet from crafts u print and I cut the topper to the size I wanted.   This was a large topper and there was a cute little mouse asleep and dreaming of cheese who had to be cut off.  I layered it onto gold mirri and glued everything into place.  I decoupaged it all up and printed a frame and sentiment from the craft artist program to match the red colour scheme.


Feeling like this needed something, maybe a charm or a mouse on shrink plastic, was nice enough in real life but sometimes when you look at the photo ... you think I could of this ... or I could have that... I think everybody does that tho.

16th Birthday Card using CUP image

Hello again blogging peeps

Another little quickie card from me today in celebration of my nephew turning the big 16!!! who would have thought it, that tiny little boy with the pearl earrings is now 16 and on the verge of getting into the army!  Time certainly does fly!

Anyway my usual 8 x 8 with a gold mirri base and a cream pearl layer on top.  A green piece of ribbon was glued along the bottom and then the two layers were stuck to the card base.  I took a piece of coredinations card stock, embossed it through a brick wall effect folder and sanded back, I then mounted onto some mirri and added some gems which I coloured to black with the noir pens.  I had hoped they would look like bullet holes - not that I want my nephew to be shot at.... you understand.... just the cool effect (still think they look gemmy and not bullet holey if you know what I mean).

I downloaded a sheet from crafts U print by Lee Jacobs http://www.craftsuprint.com/card-making/step-by-steps/male-various/army-doodles.cfm and printed it out.  I cut out all the little doodle man decoupage and the backing piece of camouflage.  I mounted the camouflage on gold mirri and glued it into place on top of the brick wall.  I then glued the doodle army man on top.  I didn't like the little screw decorations that came on the sheet so I covered them with some of my favourite card candi and added some to the other corners too.

I took the whole sheet I had downloaded into the my craft artist program and isolated the piece of the backing paper, I cut the screw decorations off and lightened it and then added my greeting personalising it as I call him the army boy!

I liked this card very much and so did my nephew.  I find male cards a little harder as I feel you cannot decorate with flowers the same way I can with a female one.  This one needed something else in the background and I still love this little doodleman and would like to make another card with him at some point.

Humphrey 1st Birthday Card

Another very quick post from me with a Humphrey decoupaged birthday card.

An 8 x 8 blank which I chose to leave quite a wide border of the white showing which is quite rare for me.  I cut a large square from coredinations cardstock and then embossed with an Mbossibility folder and sanded back.  I cut a gold mirri mat to layer behind it.  I stamped the 1 using a docrafts number stamp onto glitter card and cut it out, glued it to the card and then decoupaged Humphrey with his little crayon.  I added the ribbon tied with 1 knot and glued to the back of the card.  I then added 2 red card candi in the corners.

I cut a larger square of a papermania backing paper with a mirri mat and glued them together and then onto the card blank.  I then glued the large topper I had just made and added 3 card candi to the bottom layer corners.

In real life it looked lovely but on the photo it looks like a sentiment is missing.  In real life..when you look at it the happy birthday's all over the background paper are very noticeable and so it didn't look like it needed one.  In this photo, I think, it looks like something is missing but as it was for a little lad I would have struggled to find something boyish.

Spellbinders Easter card

Hello again bloggin peeps

This is a late post of an easter card I did for my sister to give to her friends at church I copied the design in several spring colours, pink, purple, yellow etc I had to make around 14 in total and all were the same ... but different.

Anyway an 8 x 8 card blank...beginning to run low on stock of these now .. I cut a piece of pearl white to cover the card and on the 1st one I made embossed it with a spellbinder Mbossibility folder but was having a really bad time lining it up - more to do with rushing and being tired than the folders themselves.

I then cut a shape for the scroll to fit on in a coloured card with the lattice borders to match and then cut the little accents and the cross from crosses 2. I glued the lattices down on each end of the card and then centralisd the label.  I then arranged the accents so a little of them went behind the label and most in front and glued them down.  I then added the scrolls which were found on ebay and had a lovely easter wish on them.  To finish I added the cross and a tiny bow tied on the glitter girls bowshaper and glue the whole thing to the card.

This was a pretty little card, didn't take too much time and when they were all finished and lined up in a row drying they looked pretty awesome.  My sisters friends at the church liked them and told her they didn't deserve such nice cards lol I was just glad they liked them!

Superquick Hunkydory Wedding Card

Hello again Bloggin Peeps

Me again with a super quick blog of a super quick Wedding card.  As usual an 8 x8 with a gold mirri base.  Then a layer of centura pearl white paper, embossed with the Mbossibility folder from spellbinders.  The topper had a frame all around it which I cut away and mounted onto more gold mirri.  I cut the sentiment from the same sheet and matted it onto blue as the wedding theme was blue.  Before sticking the pearl layer down I tied a huge bow and then stuck the topper in place.

I coloured some hat pins and a heart on a hat pin and stuck them into my bow adding a small blue bead with some collall glue over the ends of the pins so no-one got pin pricked.

As I said this was a super quick card and took less than 1/2 hour to make, longer for the glue to set of course lol.

Magnolia Edwin Easel Card

Hello again another quick one from me before I pop out for the day.

This is another 8 x 8 size card in an Easel style.  To make this card I stamped footballer Edwin and coloured him in and then cut him out.  I then took an 8 x 8 card and scored about halfway across the front of the card and folded it.  I took another of the same card and cut the front off to make my first layer.  I then cut a gold mirri mat to sit centrally.  I then found some pale blue backing paper and cut to the mat the gold mirri and glued it down.  I took a beautiful piece of blue coredinations and cut to a size that left some nice edges and embossed it through one of the Mbossibilities before sanding it back.  I then cut a small gold mirri mat to sit behind it.  I cut a thin strip of blue striped card and glued 1/3 from the bottom of the coredination layer.

I added a royal blue velvet ribbon across the bottom of the base layer and then glued everything into place as above.  I used a blue check paper and a spellbinders die to cut the layer Edwin was going to sit on and then cut a gold mirri circle to sit behind and glued them into place.  Edwin was shaped using a shaping tool and his little arms and legs were really dimensional even though he was only one layer he really popped out of the topper.

I printed two sentiments the happy birthday and the son one and using more spellbinders cut the pieces out for the cards.  I used an offcut of the coredinations and embossed it again before matting onto gold to make the stopper.  I also cut a matching blue check paper to size for the bottom with yet another gold mirri.  I assembled all the remaining pieces as above and glued into place.  I then added a little card candi in the corners.

This was a beautiful card to look at in real life probably because little Edwin did look real.  I have never been able to get such good dimension on a cut out magnolia figure and this is probably down to the quality of the neenah card I stamped onto.
