Humphrey drawer easel card

Ok so I had a little time yesterday to decorate this drawer I had made a few weeks ago, had no template just used my own measurements and hoped for the best, It seemed a little flimsy at first despite using a decent weight card (300gsm) but I thought once it was decorated with layers it would be stronger and happily it was. The beautiful little boy in the picture is my newest 2nd cousin Alfie John who we met yesterday and is the most gorgeous little man you could hope to meet... but then I'm biased he's family lol.

Anyway decorated this with coredinations and embossed the panels for the sides with a little sanding which I am very pleased with and 2 pearly brads for the drawer handles. The top has a little Humprey for decoration and the paper for the base of the card was from the Humphrey CD.

Will try to be a little more adventurous with the next drawer set I do and see if I can make a double drawer.

Anyway hope to be stamping in a bit until then take care x

Another Quick Hunkydory card

Ok so its another work day so just time for a quick card before I go off to earn some pennies. Another selection from the new Hunkydory xmas kit, this time just a topper and sentiment and a piece of the paper for the base. The dotty xmas colour paper came from a large 12 x 12 xmas pad I had from ages ago and the paper poinsettia is from a hotp stencil I have also had for a long time but not used, Am quite happy with the effect and would say if you like your t-bag folding this template would be very good for you.

No post tomorrow even though its my day off as there is a family thing on but will be stamping on Monday :D ....can't wait.

Anyway better scoot

Take care Cj

New Hunkydory Xmas kit

Ok so a very quick blog update with a very quick card using the new xmas Hunkydory kit exclusive to Create and Craft at the moment.

Too many cute images to name in this kit so plumped for this pair of penguins and decoupaged, my only complaint about this kit is that the papers are double sided so I 'lost' two pages by decoupaging. Which wouldn't be so bad if the paper on the other side was naff but I really liked both sides :( still you can't have everything lol

Have not added a sentiment yet as I don't know who is getting this quickie yet, but that will go opposite bow corner I think. A little glossy accent added to beak, eyes and lantern and a sakura clear glitter pen to snowflakes and snow for a bit of bling.

All in all for a quick a4 card am quite pleased with it.

Take care Cj x

Pippins Scrapbook page

Ok so I mentioned I was off to start a page which I did, a long overdue page of how I found Pippin, he is now 4! and I have had the papers since then. If I could do this again I would add a little mustard yellow tint to the adverts or perhaps a light blue so they would stand out a little more but overall am happy with this page :)

One for his album lol oh and by the way Pippin is the one in the front climbing up my knee a few weeks old and so brave, or so we thought, originally he was going to be called Kiyoshi (yoshi) for short which is Brave Warrior in Japanese after this first visit with him at a few weeks old. However when he came home it was a whole different matter and Kiyoshi did'nt fit. We settled for Pippin after the naughty dog in the children's programme come outside as we were constantly saying 'oh Pippin!' He still is a mighty coward and is scared of sellotape and loud noises but he is a lovable little boy all the same :)

Stamping practice :/O

Ok so I said I was off to stamp and stamp I did, had a lovely Sarah Kay stamp the one in the card above and spent a few hours promarker colouring 3 different layers on it and then assembled it.... It looked lovely. Went off to make tea and came back to the glue coming through the paper, was devastated! Not quite sure why it did that as I have used pinflair glue gel before and regularly use the super smooth paper from Create and Craft. Might be because I have had this paper a while and it may be drier than usual but I don't know for sure.

Anyway prepared the background for the card with some pink and yellow Cordinations that I got from Crafters Companion and distressed it. Absolutely loved the effect! Stamped image again today and placed it on a background this time and added a paper flower that I made using the mothers day bouquet cricut cartridge (the flower one there seems to be two) and the paper bouquet book from Joanna Sheen. This card does need a sentiment but I will add that later when I decide where its going!

Going to try and do a little scrapping this afternoon will post when its done :)

2nd Humphrey card

Ok so I think this one is more masculine but needs something on the side, decoupage doesn't show so well in this photo because of the light now. Ha gave this card a bit of bling round the edges but they are blue!

Off to stamp for now might post again later x

Humphreys Corner Yay! big thumbs up from me

So I invested in a Humphreys corner cd, had wanted this when it was released the pictures are adorable but couldn't afford it at the time so its sat on my long wish list until now. What a wow cd... lots to do and too many cute images! Was always put off crafter companion cd in the past as I like to make big cards but since I found the images can be taken into craft artist and made to any size well I am one happy bunny :)

Chose this one in the end as I remember doing something similar when I was a child all them years ago lol was trying to make a more masculine card so not quite sure where the flowers came from but the card needed something.

Will try to make the next humphrey more manly strictly no flowers or ribbon oh and I got some cool Sarah Kay stamps to play with too that are crying out for a card.
