Docrafts Hot Diggity Dog thank you card

Hello Blogging peeps, remember me... sorry it's been so long since the last blog but I just haven't had too much time to craft but am starting to get back into it again and hopefully the next blog won't take as long to publish.

This card is a lovely image from the Hot Diggity decoupage... I just love this image and bought the digital designer cd with it on so I can have a larger version on a scrapbook page of the dogs when we dressed them up and they looked just about as happy as this little fella does.

An 8 x 8 card with a gold base layer then some pretty pink flowered paper which came in the docrafts goody bag along with the decoupage. I inked around the edges with distress ink and layered onto the gold. I took a chocolate coloured coredinations and ran it through an embossing folder and cut it out using a spellbinder rectangle. I used the same die to cut the base layer of the decoupage too. I used a scalloped rectangle to cut out some pink card twice and matted and layered the decoupage onto one before completing the decoupage. The embossed rectangle was sanded and layered onto the second pink scalloped die cut.

In the goody bag was a thank you stamp and die. I used the die to cut a piece of neenah card to shape and then stamped onto it. I coloured using pink and brown spectrum noir pens. The lines that show on the photo don't show so much in real life. to finish I added some card candy in the corners.

Anyway really liked this card, probably because of the little character but also as I am not confident with distressing edges felt this was the best result I have had so far. Anyway that's all for today

Until next time.

Take care
