Hot diggity dog...errr mouse card

Hello again crafting peeps todays card is a little play with a smaller decoupage that came in the hot diggity dog set in a docrafts goody bag. I usually struggle to think what to do with the smaller pieces of decoupage as I don't usually make smaller cards anyway this is what I came up with.

An 8x8 card blank with a 1st layer of mirri gold. I took a piece of cream embossed card and cut it to layer on top of the mirri gold. I then took a spellbinders label die and cut the hole with the largest size. I took the next size down in the die and cut a chocolate coloured paper to make a frame for the decoupage and layered up the decoupage (this does not have to be a large piece as most was hidden under the top cream layer. I placed both layers on the gold to see where they needed to be before adding a wet glue (collall) on both so I could move them into place without any real mishaps.

I used a spellbinder borderability die to cut the circle border out of gold mirri and then a smaller border out of the same chocolate coloured paper adding a decorative heart element from the same borderability set so the little hearts show the gold.

I used a 12" leafy border also from spellbinders to cut some double sided adhesive and added gilding flakes to one side. I then added this to my card cutting as and where I wanted to.

For the tag I stamped the just for you from one of the stamps in the bottom of the drawer onto light brown card and cut using a die from the spellbinder trio tag set. I also used a larger one from the set to cut a gold one and threaded them into each other. I added some card candy for decoration and glued to the card.

All in all I like this card... at times it seemed a bit plain and it was one of those cards that just sort of comes together at the end. Definately will try again with different label dies and decoupage so many variations and a great way to use up small decoupage on a big card.

Anyway best go

Take care
