Fairyopolis side easel card

Hello blogging peeps just a very quick hello and card I started yesterday and finished off this morning.

Another side easel card as I do like them a lot (even though this is only the second one I've made lol) this time using the lovely fairyopolis set. The decoupage image came from the collection and the bottom patterned paper came from the cd. I love this little fairy and was a little disappointed she doesn't have a rubber stamped image as I think she is a mischievious little fairy and fell in love with her straight away.

I used an 8 x 8 card and scored across the centre diagonally to make the side easel fold. I added a gold mat and then an embossed paper with leaves for the top part of the card. I used the spellbinder edgeabilities to make the 'bunting' at the top and bottom out of the printed paper and die cut two sprigs from a memory box die. I inked the sprigs and the topper with vintage photo distress ink and added a few gems to the sprigs after I had glued them onto the card. I used a card blank from the fairyopolis kit and cut it into two as the base for the decoupage fairy and glued to card on a gold mat.

The base was made with another gold mirri base mat and then the patterned paper matted onto it. I used a spellbinder label die to cut two shapes from the leaves paper I used from the top of the card and a smaller one from the other side of the card blank I used from the fairyopolis kit. Onto the smaller label I used the rub-ons from the kit for the greeting and the two fairies to co-ordinate. Once these had been glued to the card I added the same memory box die in the gold mirri.

All in all a very autumnal card and I am very pleased to have been able to use a few bits from stash. Have to go get ready for work now.

Until next time

Take care
